Conflict Resolution in the Workplace

Presented by Rev. Ronald Williams-Garcia of the Garcia Williams Group

During this presentation, Rev. Williams-Garcia will discuss the history of dispute and the methods of alternative dispute resolution. This sixty minute session will have attendees look at different conflict styles and identify solutions to each one. Upon leaving, participants will be able to deconstruct difficult situations with co-workers and employees, while maintaining a peaceful work environment.

Local African American Art

We welcome you to join us for a special “Meet the Artists” reception sponsored by Chesapeake Utilities which will highlight this important group exhibition of artwork by over twenty African American artists of greater Dover and Kent County. The evening will also include music by the Sankofa youth string orchestra.

Admission is FREE for this reception as well as for the First Saturday celebrations on February 3rd from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. where family-friendly hands-on art projects always reinforce exhibition themes in the drop-in community studio.

The exhibit will be on display at the Biggs Museum February 2nd - March 4th. The museum is open Tuesday - Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Sundays 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. To find out more about the Biggs Museum of American Art visit www.biggsmuseum.org

This "Meet the Artists" reception is part of a series of events highlighting local African American history, culture, art, music and theater presented by the Delaware State News in partnership with: the Biggs Museum of American Art, Delaware State University, Sankofa Cultural Arts Center and DonDel Productions.
