The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce (CDCC) held a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in conjunction with: Kent County Tourism! Kent County Tourism in partnership with Chesapeake Utilities unveiled a brand new mobile visitor center, which is called “The Villager”.

The Villager is tied to the “Delaware’s Quaint Villages” branding initiative that debuted last year.   The mobile visitor center will travel to different towns and cities that will provide a great service to those areas and be able to engage with the locals and visitors as to what Kent County has to offer.  The overall goal of the center is to have greater economic impact on the county by increasing the number of visitors to our local attractions as well as our restaurant, hotels and retail businesses.  The Villager is unique because it was converted to run on compressed natural gas which makes it an environmental friendly vehicle keeping it in line with Kent County’s environmental awareness and stewardship.

Kent County Tourism is located at 435 N. DuPont Highway in Dover.
