Quilt Exhibit Opening Reception

The Delaware Agricultural Museum is pleased to host the Stitch-in-Time Quilt Guild Quilt Exhibit February 4 through April 19 in the Gallery at the Agricultural Museum, 866 N. DuPont Highway, in Dover.  This year’s theme is “Black Woman Telling Her Story”.  

An Opening Reception will be held on February 4th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The program will include a spiritual experience, creative readings and an underground railroad quilt code review.  Participating in the Opening Reception will be Lisa Blunt Rochester, United States Representative; Marcealeate Stephens Ruffin, Retired Magistrate Judge, Georgetown, DE; Estehelda Parker Selby, Educator, Vice Mayor, Council Woman; and Ruth Shelton, Educator and Community Advocate. 

Handmade craft items will be available for sale during the reception; selected quilts will be available for sale throughout the duration of the exhibit.  The Opening Reception will also feature a silent auction and free quilting takeaways.  Admission to the reception and/or quilt exhibit is free for Museum members; non-members pay regular Museum admission fee ($3 to $6).  All admission fees, as well as a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each quilt, benefit the Museum.  For more information about the Delaware Agricultural Museum, please visit our website at www.agriculturalmuseum.org .
