The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce (CDCC) hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for The Bold Co. Girl on Saturday, September 19th, at 12 pm. The ceremony was held at Harvest Ridge Winery, 447 Westville Rd. in Marydel. Chamber members, ambassadors, and staff members joined Rachel Settle, owner and founder, at Harvest Ridge as she celebrated a whole new era of The Bold Co. Girl!

The Bold Co. Girl’s mission is to offer authentic and affordable products and services that assist the every-day female boss. With “bold” right in the name, Rachel loves to encourage the “rad babes” that visit this popular online shopping site to be themselves, and to not be afraid to let their magic show! There have been negative stigmas associated with females in power, and the Bold Co. Girl strives to show women that they are not bossy- they are THE BOSS.

The Bold Co. Girl offers a wide variety of apparel, journals, planners, coffee cups, jewelry, keychains, and more! While Rachel loves to create many fun items, the main focus is always on making things that females will truly find helpful to their everyday lives.  The Bold Co. Girl offers a range of services from “Kickstart Sessions” designed to help the aspiring female entrepreneur get connected in the community and established legally, to graphic logo design, and wholesale offerings such as custom journals, packaging stickers, and retail tags and labels!

Established in 2016 as a wedding and event planning service under the name “Senner of Attention Events,” The Bold Co. Girl shifted gears and became an online retail company focused on supporting females and entrepreneurs. Rachel’s love for supporting bold women in the community gave birth to a blog highlighting a new woman each month, a range of products designed to help women in every job they do from stay-at-home moms to women running their own businesses from home or an office- to both, sessions designed for female entrepreneurs just starting out, and wholesale for businesses!

In this “new era” of The Bold Co. Girl, Rachel is rolling out “Online Shopping in Real Life” vendor events. These events – the first of their kind – bring together local entrepreneurs who do not have a physical location in a way that introduces them to potential customers, essentially bringing their online shops to life! Many vendor events do not typically try to stay within one target market, and it’s hard to judge how well one will do- the Online Shopping in Real Life Vendor Events, while not exclusive to female entrepreneurs, do market to clients and customers who will truly love getting to know these business women who are normally unable to interact face-to-face with their customers! The idea of the online vendor event is just one of many ideas Rachel has for helping to support local entrepreneurs.

The Bold Co. Girl is proud to be part of the Central Delaware Community. Rachel is an active member of the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce, attending as many events as possible. She loves meeting new people, especially the faces behind the local businesses she has patronized for many years. She has found ways to provide wholesale products for partnering companies and is interested in finding ways to collaborate with other business owners. Rachel would love to eventually obtain her own event location which would enable her to provide a place for making connections and developing partnerships among businesses. She is excited to see what the future holds for The Bold Co. Girl!
