The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony at Johnstone Supply on Wednesday, September 26. The event marked the grand opening of the company’s newest family-owned location and its second in Delaware at 890 New Burton Road.

Johnstone Supply is a one-stop shop with a variety of options in unitary and specialty equipment, repair and replacement parts, as well as maintenance supplies for residential, light commercial, refrigeration and facilities maintenance. In addition to the inventory found in stores, customers have access to more than 75,000 Johnstone products online and more than 32,000 from the annual print catalog. Relationships with the industry’s top manufacturers also allow for access to a million special order parts.

“We offer the products, programs and services that help contractors of all sizes succeed,” explained Bonnie Comunale, co-franchisee of the two Delaware locations. “We’re committed to being our customers’ HVACR resource from start to finish.”

The success of the first location in New Castle prompted Comunale, her husband and her son, both named Rich, to open another location further south to serve the needs of contractors in the area. The Comunales hope that by opening the Dover store, they will be able to offer some convenience for their loyal customers.

Regarding future growth, the family hopes to expand its store locations throughout the state of Delaware and to do so with the support of its community.

“We look forward to a lot of wonderful years ahead in Central Delaware,” said Comunale.
