Postponing the State's State Engagement Meeting (STEM)

Release the Date.....

In growing concerns for public health safety and the COVID Delta variance, we are postponing the State’s State Engagement Meeting (STEM) to be held on September 17th, 2021. This date was originally saved for providing an update on the progress and accomplishments towards our previous STEM goals and objectives. The work on the prevention of type 2 diabetes is ongoing, and your input continues to be just as important and greatly needed. Each of the four Pillars (i.e., Awareness, Coverage, Availability and Screen, Test and Refer) has community partnership leadership and support, and the needs for your efforts and insight towards preventing type 2 diabetes in Delaware is equally important. We are looking to reschedule the STEM meeting in May or June of 2022. Be on the lookout for a future “Save the Date”.  Your contribution is vital in making the prevention of type 2 diabetes in Delaware through use of the National Diabetes Prevention Program a success.  We value your knowledge and encourage you to participate in the efforts toward improving the quality of life of Delawareans who have prediabetes and/or associated risks and in reducing health care cost through the prevention of type 2 diabetes. At this time if you are interested in learning more and/or getting involved in the work of one of the four Pillars, please contact Wendy Bailey at Wendy.bailey@delaware.gov or 302-744-1020.
