Local Officers Group Tops in Nation for 10th Year

The Military Officers’ Association of America (MOAA) is pleased to announce the Dover Chapter is once again among the winners of the annual Council and Chapter Levels of Excellence Awards for 2020.
Out of almost 500 MOAA affiliates, Dover Chapter was judged by national committee members’ subjective evaluations and objective performance data, according to a long-established grading scale, to meet 5-Star Standards for the 10th year in a row.
Even during the pandemic, Dover MOAA Chapter members and their volunteer leaders, found new and innovative ways to serve the community and help veterans, excel in grassroots advocacy by nurturing relationships and educating elected officials (often virtually) and growing its membership even without in-person meetings.
The Dover MOAA will resume in-person dinner meetings, with spouses, at Roma’s on Sept 16 and will continue to meet every third Thursday thereafter until spring.
Membership in MOAA is open to active duty, former, retired, and National Guard and Reserve commissioned and warrant officers of the uniformed services and their surviving spouses.
