Easterseals Expands Services for Seniors in Smyrna

The recent ribbon-cutting for the new Easterseals day program in Smyrna bought together many families and local and state officials in support of the services being offered there for seniors and adults with physical disabilities. Among those pictured above are: Rep. Bill Bush, Sen. Kyra Hoffner, Easterseals President/CEO Ken Sklenar, Rep. William Carson, Smyrna Mayor Robert Johnson, Rep. Jeff Spiegelman, Rep. Kevin Hensley, Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities Director Melissa Smith, Smyrna Town Manager Sheldon Hudson, Smyrna Councilwoman Tabitha Gott, Jennifer Sutter from Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce, Bill Willis, and Easterseals board members Joseph Guariano and Mary Jane Willis.


“At Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore, we are constantly looking for ways we can evolve to meet the growing needs of the community,” Easterseals President/CEO, Kenan Sklenar, said. “We recognized a gap for seniors in Kent County and knew we could meet their needs through an additional day program in Smyrna.”
