Dover, Kent County - June 15, 2023 - The Dover/Kent CountyMetropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is delighted to announce that theDowntown Dover Partnership has been awarded a mini-grant as part of the MPO'sParklet Pilot Program. This initiative aims to enhance public spaces in the downtownarea by introducing innovative parklets that provide opportunities forrelaxation, recreation, and social interaction. T

 

he Dover/Kent County MPO encourages other municipalitieswithin the region to explore the potential of parklets as a means oftransforming their public spaces. The Parklet Pilot Program showcases the MPO'sdedication to fostering sustainable and inclusive communities, promoting activetransportation, and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
