Harrington Raceway and Casino recently presented the Food Bank of Delaware with a check for $6,760, with funds raised from proceeds of a July fundraiser held at the casino.

The event was the 10th annual donation drive to benefit the Food Bank. Food Bank of Delaware’s Vice President of External Affairs, Chad Robinson, lauded the success of the event and longstanding relationship with Harrington Raceway and Casino, which has long participated in many functions with the Food Bank, such as the culinary school and volunteer initiative.

"We can't thank Harrington Raceway and Casino enough for this generous gift," said Food Bank of Delaware Vice President of External Affairs Chad Robinson. "We know there continues to be a great need in our local communities. With partners like Harrington Raceway and Casino, who care about the communities they serve, we are working to achieve our vision of a community free of hunger." 

Harrington Raceway and Casino’s Executive Director of Food and Beverage Dj Silicato, was recently named to the Board of Directors for the Food Bank of Delaware, replacing long-term director Hank Rosenberg, Chief Operating Officer of Hospitality at Harrington Raceway and Casino.
