First State Manufactured Housing Association 2022 - 2023 Scholarship Recipients Announced

First State Manufactured Housing Association is pleased to announce four recipients of the Manufactured Housing Scholarship Award for 2022-2023. Each scholarship is in the amount of $2,500 and totals$10,000.

 

We extend our Congratulations to each of the following students!

 

Nick Aron, a 2022 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School in Pennsburg, PA will be attending the Villanova School of Business in the Fall of 2022. Nick was a two-sport athletic in high school and a captain of the basketball team. During his free time, he enjoys golfing, fishing and working out. In the summer months he enjoys spending time in Pot-Nets boating and hanging out with friends.

 

Isaac Brumbley, a 2020 graduate from Delmar High School and currently a rising junior at Virginia Tech, majoring in Civil Engineering with a 3.86 cumulative GPA. This summer Isaac will be a returning intern at Whiting-Turner, a construction engineering and management firm.  He plans on entering the construction field as an engineer after graduation. In his spare time Isaac enjoys working out, hiking, and playing recreational sports.

 

Nikolas Karnes, a 2022 graduate of First State Military Academy, will be attending Delaware State University in the Fall to study Food Nutrition/Dietetics. Nikolas was involved in the National Society of High School Scholars and received Commandant Honor Roll numerous times throughout high school. He is active member of his community through volunteering and enjoys spending time with family, friends, and pets. Nikolas resides in a manufactured home in Viola, DE.

 

Jaydon Mifflin, a 2022 graduate from Sussex Tech High School, will be atending Delaware State University in the Fall majoring in Music.

 

First State Manufactured Housing Association has provided $79,000.00 for 59 scholarship recipients since 1999. The scholarship program is available to high school seniors or former graduates who reside in mmanufactured or modular housing within the State of Delaware for at least one year prior to application. Eligible candidates are also evaluated on scholastic record, financial need, essay and personal/professional recommendations. The schoarship may be used for any type of accredited two or four year degree program or for any accredited training, licensing, or certification program, or for any accredited degree program. Full or part time registration in an accredited program is acceptable (part time minimum - 7 credits). The First State Manufactured Housing Association is the professional trade association representing the interest of the manufactured and modular housing industry in Delaware.
