SBA Delaware Office Seeks Nomination for National Small Business Week 2023

Do you or someone you know have what it takes to become America’s “Small Business Person of the Year” for 2023? If so, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) wants to hear from you. 

The SBA is proud to announce its Delaware District Office is ready to accept nominations for the 2023 National and District Small Business Week Awards, including the annual Small Business Person of the Year Award. Self-nominations and third-party nominations are accepted in all award categories.

Visit the SBA’s dedicated website at www.sba.gov/nsbw to download forms, criteria, and guidelines for submitting a National nomination. The Delaware District Office award categories and guidelines can be found on the district’s website at https://www.sba.gov/de

The SBA Awards given in celebration of National and District Small Business Week include:

Delaware District Small Business Week Categories:

  • Small Business Person of the Year (National and Delaware District)
  • Small Business Exporter (National and Delaware District)
  • Minority Small Business Champion or Business of the Year (Delaware District)
  • Veteran Small Business Champion or Business of the Year (Delaware District)
  • Women in Business Champion or Business of the Year (Delaware District)
  • Rural Communities Champion Award (Delaware District)
  • Frank Masley Award (Delaware District)

 

“Every year, SBA’s Small Business Awards are an incredible opportunity to spotlight Delaware’s small businesses and their champions, with our Small Business Person of the Year competing at a national level to become America’s Small Business Person of the Year,” said Michelle Harris, SBA Delaware Director. “SBA Delaware looks forward to receiving nominations in all categories, including SBA Delaware’s newest award category, the Rural Communities Champion Award, designed to celebrate an individual who strives to advance rural business ownership, or a rural owned business owner who has experienced the rewards and difficulties of owning their own business.”

The SBA Delaware Office must receive all nominations by electronic submission ONLY to the District’s BOX account found at www.sba.gov/nsbw no later 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time on December 8, 2022.
