Replacement of Railroad Crossing and Maintenance Will Require the Closure of Walker Road

The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) advises motorists that Delmarva Central Railroad Company will be replacing, resurfacing, and performing general maintenance on their railroad crossing on Walker Road between McKee Road/Saulsbury Road and North State Street.
The work is scheduled to begin at 5 a.m. on Friday, August 25 until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5, but could be delayed due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Detour Routes:
Eastbound: Walker Road onto McKee Road to College Road onto US 13 to North State Street and return to Walker Road.
Westbound: Walker Road to North State Street onto US 13 to College Road to McKee Road and back to Walker Road.
Detour signage will be posted for motorists.
