Independent Newsmedia Inc. USA 's Corporate Services office in Dover Delaware has an opening for a strong numbers person who enjoys a fast-pace work environment and is able to work within demanding deadlines. This is a full-time position for a Senior Accountant. We are seeking a self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented applicant to join an existing four-member accounting team of dedicated professionals.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies and issues of noncompliance in General Ledger.
• Preparing Financial analysis and reports.
• Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and General Ledger accounts.
• Bank Reconciliations.
• Preparation of monthly sales tax returns.
• Process month-end A/R aging reports and assist in internal review of Financials prior to issuance.
• Assist with preparation and monitoring of budgets.
• Business License renewals
• Assist and work closely with chief accountant and staff accountant with month-end, 13th month and year-end close.
• Handle fixed asset management and reporting.
• Preparation of annual property taxes
• Annual Report filing.
• Monitor and oversee accounts payable

The successful candidate must be able to carry out the above and other varied accounting assignments without close supervision while being both accurate and productive.

Skills needed:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar REQUIRED
• 7+ Years accounting experience REQUIRED
• Must have excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills and extensive knowledge of accounting and financial principles.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team
• Strong understanding of federal, state and local tax regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 and spreadsheet software
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Must be an outstanding communicator, and have established skills in accuracy, organization, and working in a high-volume environment
