Easterseals Receives Grant from Bank of America to Promote a More Inclusive Community

Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore, a local non-profit organization dedicated to creating an inclusive community through innovative services, has received a $20,000 grant from Bank of America. The grant will help Easterseals improve economic mobility and promote independence in the lives of people of all ages with disabilities, seniors, and their families.

 

“Easterseals programs and services are an essential part of our community and thanks to grants from companies like Bank of America, we can continue to provide exceptional services to the people we serve to enable them to live independently,” Easterseals President/CEO, Kenan Sklenar, said. “We appreciate Bank of America’s continued support of Easterseals, not only through financial support but also by volunteering in our programs.”

 

The grant is part of Bank of America's philanthropic giving efforts in local communities. Awardees are selected for their commitment to addressing basic needs for people with disabilities. Easterseals mission is to provide services that promote opportunities for full inclusion in our community. Bank of America shows support of Easterseals mission, not only financially but also through volunteerism. Most recently over 178 volunteers from across the country participated in a virtual volunteer activity in Easterseals day program creating beautiful storyboards filled with positive messages.
