CDCC Joins Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck for a Ribbon Cutting to celebrate the opening of this new business
The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce (CDCC) hosted a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck on Wednesday, Nov. 13th in the parking lot of the Chamber office on North Dupont Highway, Dover. Chamber members and friends joined the owner, Christian Miller, and his team for drinks and muffins to celebrate the opening of this new business.
Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck sells coffee, tea, and other caffeinated, and non-caffeinated gourmet beverages including signature coffee products, nitro, cold brew, caramel frappe, hot chocolate, energy drinks, lemonades, various flavored teas, iced and frozen lattes and Matcha teas, Tommy Palmer (their version of the Arnold Palmer), refreshers with fresh fruit (a favorite with kids), espresso, ILT nitro energy ™?, and seasonal flavored beverages such as pumpkin spice, peppermint, and honey blueberry. They also offer dairy-free options with almond milk or oat milk.
Their coffee truck is the perfect addition to any gathering from weddings, festivals and parties to fundraisers, corporate events, meetings, and a variety of other events. The Travelin’ Tom’s baristas can entertain guests with latte art and brewing techniques, plus the casual vibe of this interaction can make the event feel more inclusive and fun. Christian emphasizes that he wants to establish a sense of fun between his role as the barista and the customer. “I serve liquid smiles and create a sense of joy with that first sip. Who says staying hydrated can’t be fun?”
Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck is a division of Kona Ice. Christian Miller, owner of Kona Ice of Dover and Kona Ice of Kent County, identified a need in the central Delaware market for a coffee and tea beverage truck that offers an interactive experience for event guests. Christian points out, “Delaware is business friendly, so we wanted to keep operating in the community we already serve, and we’ve had a warm reception. This truck is in demand 7 days a week!”
To say “thank you” to the local community, they also donate a portion of their sales to schools, non-profit organizations, and service events like school football games, festivals, fundraising events, school dances, etc. “We show up and your organization gets a check. It’s that simple! Giving back to our local community is built into our business model,” Christian explains.
