The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce (CDCC) hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Smyrna Chiropractic, LLC, (SC) on Tuesday, June 6th at 12pm. The event was held at 1000 Smyrna Clayton Blvd, Ste. 3 in Smyrna, Delaware. Chamber members and friends joined the Smyrna Chiropractic, LLC, team to celebrate their Grand Opening!
Chiropractic practice is an alternative form of medicine. Founded in the late 1800s, this practice is concerned with the treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine. This form of medical care is often pared with other therapies like muscle stimulation, exercises, stretches, cupping, muscle scrapping and tapping, which Smyrna Chiropractic also offers.
The mission of Smyrna Chiropractic, LLC, is to “elevate our community’s overall health and wellness and enhance their quality of life through Chiropractic care. We believe we can change the Smyrna community for the better while promoting a healthy way of life through Chiropractic care and movement,” shared Dr. Matthew DeFroda. The team at SC believes in honest and integrity as it relates to the overall wellness of the community. They believe all people deserve to be healthy and thrive in their own lives, and their main goal is to provide the people of the community with the tools to do just that.
Smyrna Chiropractic, LLC, provides personalized chiropractic treatment for each of their patients. They offer care to anyone and everyone, from newborn babies to patients in their 90’s. Dr. Matthew DeFroda has been a Chiropractor for seven years, primarily working in upstate Newark, Delaware. “We moved to Clayton two years ago from Middletown and knew the town needed a local Chiropractor who loves the town he lives in. That led to creating Smyrna Chiropractic LLC,” Dr. DeFroda shared.
“My wife and I had lived in Delaware (Pike Creek and New Castle respectively) our whole lives. We knew we wanted to live in a quiet small-town area, something that Middletown was getting away from, to raise our children. When we found Clayton and visited the Clayton/Smyrna area we fell in love with the charm of the old town. Part of living in a town is being an active member of that community. That led me to create Smyrna Chiropractic, a way to truly give back to the community by restoring its residents’ full potential,” continued Dr. DeFroda. This Ribbon Cutting ceremony not only celebrates their Grand Opening, but also this past year of planning and creating the practice.
Smyrna Chiropractic, LLC, is passionate about being a part of the community. Since opening the doors on May 9th, 2023, the company has become involved in PTA events for Providence Creek Academy and plans on participating in more sponsored events. They also plan to participate in Smyrna Night and Railroad Day - two large community events in Smyrna. Future plans include taking an active role in making the community a better place through other events and volunteering opportunities.
