The Kent County Department of Public Safety is pleased to announce the launch of its 13th annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, "Thanksgiving For Everyone".
The food drive will run from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6th at Redner’s Warehouse Market, 25 Greentree Drive, in Dover, inviting residents and local businesses to contribute non-perishable food items.
John Tinger Assistant Director, Department of Public Safety, Emergency Medical Services Division said, "The Thanksgiving Food Drive is vital because it embodies the true spirit of the holiday – coming together to support our neighbors and ensuring everyone can share in the abundance and warmth of the season."
Donations can be dropped off at the Paramedic trailer parked outside of Redner’s on November 6th, or donations can be dropped off at the Kent County Administrative Complex, 555 Bay Road in Dover, October 17th – November 4th.
The following items are needed: canned vegetables, cranberry sauce, evaporated milk, canned pumpkin, canned fruit, juice, corn muffin mix, mashed potatoes, gravy or any other non-perishable item that will ensure a good Thanksgiving meal for a needy family.
Let’s come together as a community to make this holiday season brighter for everyone.
