First State Manufactured Housing Association 2020-2021 Scholarship Recipients Announced
The First State Manufactured Housing Association (FSMHA) has announced four recipients of the Manufactured Housing Scholarship Award for 2020-2021. Each scholarship is in the amount of $2,500, and totals $10,000. We extend our Congratulations to each of the following students!
Serenity Bramble, a 2020 graduate of Lake Forest High School, will be attending Delaware Technical Community College in the fall, majoring in Early Childhood Education. Serenity is an active member in her community, volunteering at the Milford Food Bank and at the Lake Forest Aquatics Center. She will be taking on dual-enrollment and honors courses. Serenity resides in a manufactured home in Harrington, DE.
Isaac Brumbley, a 2020 graduate of Delmar High School, will be attending Virginia Polytechnical Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) in the fall to study General Engineering. Throughout high school, Isaac's favorite classes were Calculus and Physics. He was involved in the varsity football team, earning 2nd-team all-conference for Defensive Lineman and Guard, and the All-State Sportsmanship award. Additionally, Isaac was involved in the Technology-Student Association (building robots) and Key Club. In his free time, he enjoys solving complex math problems and working. Isaac resides in a modular home in Little Acres
in Laurel, DE.
Christina Aron, a 2019 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School, is a rising sophomore at Villanova University. Christina will be majoring in Environmental Science with plans of working in environmental policy and regulation. In high school, she founded the UPHS Environmental Conservation Club, where she led group activities regarding sustainability and nature. Christina was actively involved in other clubs in high school, where she graduated in the top 5% of her class. At Villanova, she writes for the campus-wide newspaper in the opinion section of "The Villanovan". Her favorite activity at Villanova is attending school basketball games. Christina resides in Pennsylvania, spending her summers in a manufactured home in Pot-Nets Communities
in Long Neck, DE.
Mitchell
Remondi, a 2018 graduate of Dover High School, is a rising Junior at the
University of Delaware. He is a Nutrition and Dietetics major with a minor in
Public Health, planning to achieve his certification as a Registered Dietitian
Nutritionist after graduation. At the University of Delaware, Mitchell is on
the executive board for the Nutrition and Dietetics Club, a member of the Club
Tennis team, a student worker for Healthy H.E.N.S., and a volunteer for
the UD Sports Nutrition program. He resides in a manufactured home in Hartly,
DE.

Since 1999, the First State Manufactured Housing Association has provided $59,000.00 in scholarship grants to 51 students. This scholarship program is available to high school seniors or graduates who reside in manufactured or modular housing within the State of Delaware for at least one year prior to application.
Eligible candidates are evaluated on their scholastic record, financial need,
written essay and recommendations from teachers or community leaders. The
scholarship may be used for any type of accredited degree program, or any
accredited technical training, licensing or certification program. Full or part
time registration in an accredited program is acceptable (part time minimum - 7
credits).
The First State Manufactured Housing Association is the professional trade
association representing the interests of the manufactured and modular housing
industry in Delaware.
