TidalHealth’s Infectious Disease specialist, Dr. Areej Khan, will be moving to a new office at 38552 Sussex Hwy, Delmar, Del., starting on March 1.
Formerly located in Laurel, Dr. Khan’s location in Delmar will make her infectious disease specialty services easier to access for patients from both the Wicomico and Sussex areas. In addition to her office address, Dr. Khan’s phone number will change to 302-990-3322.
Dr. Khan received her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica; she completed her Internal Medicine internship and residency at Brookdale University Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y.; and she completed a fellowship in Infectious Disease at Columbia University/Harlem Hospital in New York City.
Dr. Khan is a member of the American College of Physicians and Surgeons, the American Medical Student Association, and the Infectious Disease Society of America. She was named a 2020 Top Doctor by Delaware Today. Her specialties include travel medicine; diabetic foot infections; skin, joint and bone infections; endocarditis; tick-borne illnesses; hepatitis C; HIV; and all cases related to COVID-19.
