The
Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Smyrna
Nutrition on July 15th at 11 am. The ceremony was held at 220 E Glenwood Ave in Smyrna. Chamber members, friends, and staff members joined the Mari Graden to celebrate the business’s 1 year anniversary!
Smyrna Nutrition, opened in June 2020, has adopted Herbalife Nutrition’s mission of making “the world healthier and happier.” After coaching at Bear Nutrition in Bear, Delaware, owner Mari Graden knew she wanted to recreate that atmosphere of family, love, and support in her own community. The folks at Smyrna Nutrition strive to bring their mission of love, acceptance, happiness, and health to each person they reach through their nutrition club and events. They offer the community a place to grab a quick, healthy, meal option in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. In addition to daily consumptions (meal replacement shakes, energy teas, and protein snacks), they offer fitness and informational classes to empower and motivate clients on their health and wellness journeys.
Among the offerings at Smyrna Nutrition are meal replacement shakes designed to provide consumers with 1/3 of their daily nutritional needs. These replacement shakes contain 17 grams of protein and 21 essential vitamins and minerals in a delicious drink of under 200 calories. “Lifted” energy teas are also among the company’s specialties. These teas contain a thermogenic herbal tea, guarana, Vitamin C, and energy supporting B vitamins. The coaches at Smyrna Nutrition provide wellness profiles and nutritional coaching to assist people on their health and wellness journeys, setting goals, and creating accountability through challenges and support. In addition, cardio drumming classes are offered two nights per week, with additional classes promised in the future.
Smyrna Nutrition, a proud member of the Central Delaware community, is always looking for more way to reach out to the community and to give back. In 2020, they sponsored and created their own walk for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. They believe that mental health and physical health go hand in hand and are anxious to continue to help this organization. In addition, they participated in Toys for Tots this past winter and look forward to continuing that participation in the future. The folks at Smyrna Nutrition also focus on making a difference in the “community in their walls” by donating their tip jar to various groups in need of assistance. They also look for opportunities to provide emotional support to those in the community when a need arises. Giving back to the community fits well into their mission to spread happiness as well as health and they will continue to seek opportunities to do just that.
