The documents are available as drafts on the MPO website (www.doverkentmpo.org ) for review and comments. All comments must be received before March 1, 2023, when the MPO Council will vote to adopt all three studies.

The Kent County Airport Inventory study is a listing of all airports, public and private in Kent County. The study provides data and context for consideration in determining the future potential for these airports, what challenges they are facing, and whether the facilities should be expanded for business generation.

The US 13 North Corridor Study identifies properties adjacent to the nine miles of US 13 from north Dover through Smyrna to the County border. Specific focus is on parcels adjacent to the open-access highway that may be used for economic development.

The Truck Parking Amenities study includes various amenities that should be included in truck parking and travel plaza facilities in Kent County, strategies and tools for implementing these amenities, and “good neighbor” practices to promote compatible use between truck drivers and the community.
