Cancer Support Community Delaware will hold its 13th Annual Wings of Hope: A Butterfly Release on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Milton Memorial Park at 115 Federal Street, Milton, DE from 9am to noon. Presented by Incyte, this very special and unique celebration of life has become an inspiration for many in the community who have been impacted by cancer. This, our most moving and memorable event, features a live butterfly release to honor those facing cancer or memorialize loved ones lost to it. Hosted by WRDE’s Mallory Metzner and Honorary Chair and Former Delaware Senator, David McBride, the ceremony begins promptly at 10:30am.
Wings of Hope is a free, family-friendly, rain or shine event. Open to the public, it will feature live performances, vendors, chance and 50/50 raffles, plant and bake sales, and lots of fun activities for kids. The highlight of the day will be the reading of the names of the 2023 honorees followed by the release of hundreds of beautiful Painted Lady butterflies. The public is also invited to Dine to Donate at Irish Eyes in Milton from 11am to 4pm. Mention you are there to support Wings of Hope and 10% of your bill will be donated to Cancer Support Community Delaware. Wings of Hope is a great way to spend a family day together while helping others in our community.
