First State Manufactured Housing Association 2023 - 2024 Scholarship Recipients Announced
The First State Manufactured Housing Association (FSMHA) has announced two recipients of the Manufactured Housing Scholarship Award for 2023 - 2024. Each scholarship is in the amount of $2,500, and totals $5,000.

Shardae Lashua from Sea Air Village in Rehoboth Beach, DE is completing her second year at Rutgers University majoring in Biochemistry. After obtaining her BS/MS degree for Biochemistry she plans to enroll in the medical doctorate degree program. Sharadae volunteers with the American Red Cross, Tutoring, Boys and Girls Club of Camden County, RUC Raptorettes Dance Team Captain, African Student Association, Afrodynamic Dance Team Captain, Black Student Union Vice President and Pre-Med Student Association member. Shardae is currently completing an internship with Girls, Inc mentoring young girls interested in entering into the STEM field.
Reagan Webster from Sea Air Village in Rehoboth Beach, DE, a 2023 graduate from Penn Manor High School will be attending Lebanon Valley College in the fall majoring in Physical Therapy. She will be part of their 6-year accelerated PT program to receive her doctorate. Regan was inducted into the National Honor Society and was a student ambassador at Penn Manor High School.

Since 1999, the First State Manufactured Housing Association has provided $84,000.00 in scholarship grants to 61 students. This scholarship program is available to high school seniors or graduates who reside in manufactured or modular housing within the State of Delaware for at least one year prior to application.
Eligible candidates are evaluated on their scholastic record, financial need, written essay and recommendations from teachers or community leaders. The scholarship may be used for any type of accredited degree program, or any accredited technical training, licensing or certification program. Full or part time registration in an accredited program is acceptable (part time minimum - 7 credits).
The First State Manufactured Housing Association is the professional trade association representing the interests of the manufactured and modular housing industry in Delaware.
