National POW/MIA Recognition Day is Friday, Sept. 15, 2023. Wilmington University has chosen to host an event to honor this occasion at our Dover site from 10-11 a.m., on Sept. 15.

We will unveil and dedicate the POW/MIA Chair of Honor, an unoccupied chair that will permanently symbolize and memorialize prisoners of war and the 81,000 servicemembers who remain missing since World War II.

We are honored to present Mr. Ralph Galati as our distinguished guest speaker. A former U.S. Air Force weapons systems officer, Mr. Galati and his pilot were shot down over North Vietnam on Feb. 16, 1972. They survived but were immediately captured, then held as prisoners of war in Hanoi for 14 months.

Please join us in honoring the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of the men and women who have endured incredible hardships in service to our country. Your presence would mean a great deal to us.

The Dover site is located at 3282 North DuPont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901.
