Kent County Librarian to address local MOAA chapter Thursday
Dover, DE
09/20/2023 02:07 PM

Kent County Librarian Dr. Hilary Welliver will address the local Dover Chapter of the Military Officer Association of America (MOAA) at their monthly dinner meeting at Green Turtle in Dover on September 21, 2023.

Though most librarians are famous for “shushing,” Dr. Welliver claims to have flunked “Silence 101.” She is a published writer, interactive storyteller, adjunct professor, avid reader, and she enjoys a passion for karate, gardening, travel, live stage performances, and book cart drill teams.

Social hour starts at 5 pm; Dinner at 6 pm. Business meeting to follow, adjournment no later than 8 pm.

Guests are welcome, but MOAA membership is open only to Active Duty, former or retired, and National Guard and Reserve commissioned and warrant officers of the uniformed services and their surviving spouses.

For more than 90 years, MOAA’s efforts have led to significant legislation regarding pay and benefits, access to quality medical care, and numerous other areas of concern to our members, veterans, and all active and reserve military ranks.
