The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce (CDCC) hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Smyrna Pediatric Dentistry on Saturday, September 16th, at 12pm. The event was held at 51 Huntfield Dr., Suite 100, in Smyrna. Chamber members and friends joined Dr. Delgado and his team to celebrate their Grand Opening Event!
Introducing Smyrna Pediatric Dentistry, Central Delaware’s newest dental practice dedicated to servicing the dental needs of children. Dr. Delgado and his team are passionate and skilled in providing comprehensive dental care to all children, including those with special needs. They have just finished construction on their new facility and opened in June 2023. They strive to transform dental anxieties into confident and healthy smiles!
The services provided at Smyrna Pediatric Dentistry are new patient exams, special needs dentistry, infant and baby care, emergencies dentistry, sedation treatment, and hospital dentistry. Guided by Dr. Delgado, Smyrna Pediatric Dentistry came to life because Delgado’s career and passion came together. He has specialist training in providing comprehensive dental care to all children, including kids with special needs, by using traditional behavior management. This need hits close to home because one of his sons is on the Autism Spectrum. Being a father himself means he knows the needs of children, especially when it comes to their oral health which can affect their overall wellbeing. I completed my Doctorate degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2009 in Boston, Massachusetts. “It was during this time that I volunteered in the pediatric department and realized that I LOVE working with children! Fate and good luck brought me to Delaware, where it was a humbling surprise to find out that you can find many pockets of undeserved areas throughout the state,” shared Dr. Delgado. He is motivated by seeing a happy and confident patient after a treatment.
