Cancer Support Community Delaware is excited to announce the return of their 14th annual Wings of Hope: A Butterfly Release. This popular celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Milton Memorial Park from 9AM to 12noon and is free to the public. This very special and unique celebration of life has become an inspiration for many in the community who have been touched by cancer.
We want to extend a thank you to the Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge #2540 for their years of continued support of Wings of Hope. Their generous curtain sponsorship raised over $7,000 in 2023 to ensure that no Delawarean faces cancer alone.
The event is highlighted by the release of beautiful butterflies in recognition of family, friends, and neighbors throughout Delaware, whose lives have been impacted by cancer. Hosted by CoastTV’s Mallory Metzner and Honorary Chair and Former Delaware Senator, David McBride, the ceremony begins at 10:30am. Wings of Hope will also have local vendors, native plants for purchase, children’s activities and a bake sale hosted by VIA.
