KSI Volunteers Recognized by Delaware Veterans Home

KSI was proud to be among the volunteers who were recognized on Wednesday, April 24 by the Delaware Veterans Home (DVH) at a Volunteer Appreciation Ceremony. KSI has volunteered at the DVH for nine years and has accumulated over 13,000 hours of volunteer service.

 

Volunteering and community exploration are integral parts of KSI’s Pre-Vocational Training Program. Not only do volunteer experiences grow skills necessary for employment, but volunteering is also good for the soul. KSI program participants appreciate giving back to the community and enjoy the ongoing relationship developed with residents and staff at the DVH.

 

KSI is a not for profit agency, providing vocational training, employment, community integration, transportation, day habilitation, life enrichment and nutritional services to individuals with disabilities throughout Kent and Sussex Counties.
