The Delaware Farm Bureau’s Promotion and Education Committee is excited to announce this year’s Ag Safety Conference scheduled for Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Loblolly Acres in Viola. It is free and open to anyone who might be interested in learning about safety on the farm.
“With farming being one of the most dangerous professions, one must keep as knowledgeable as possible, so to avoid a possibility of an accident happening. Staying alert and knowing what to do is very important. Our safety conference offers many different scenarios and solutions which you can use in your everyday life, if necessary. It’s a great opportunity to learn and meet new friends and reconnect with old friends,” said June Unruh, Ag Safety Conference Chair.
This conference, in partnership with Nationwide and Loblolly Acres, will feature presentations on various safety topics, one pesticide credit, vendors for attendees to network with, and door prizes. Morning coffee and lunch will also be provided.

*Irrigation Safety – Steven Majchrzak, Sussex Irrigation
*It’s OK to Not be OK: Mental Health Challenges & Resources Available – Steve Breeding, DEFB 1st Vice President and Bailey Corwine, AFBF Media Relations Specialist
*Pesticide Presentation – Dr. Kerry Richards, Pheonix Agriculture Safety and Health (PCASH)
