Wesley United Methodist Church is located at 209 S. State Street, Dover DE 19901 and has a vision that spans decades, welcomes all and seeks to carry the community into the future. Their roots began alongside this country in 1778 and plans to serve this community far into the future. Whether it's teaching Sunday School, serving a community meal, sorting and selling clothing in their Clothing Closet, joining a mission trip, helping to build a home, using your voice to sing in the choir, or chair a committee, your presence is valued and you are needed.

The greater Dover community varies widely and so do services; 8AM service is informal, casual and the shortest one without music; 9:45AM service is traditional, with popular hymns of faith with a full choir; 11:15AM service has a contemporary flair and is family oriented.

Children have many options at Wesley; they are welcome at all services, have the option of being in the nursery, attend Sunday School, participate in the Children's Choir or Tone Chimes and be a part of Vacation Bible School in the summer. The Youth Group engages older children and continues the journey of faith through service, study, and events.

Adult opportunities abound, whether you are interested in Adult Sunday School and study, assisting in the Code Purple Shelter or Interfaith Mission for Housing, mission trips, various church committees, United Methodist Men, United Methodist Women, and many opportunities for bible study and prayer.

“We believe you have a place waiting for you here at Wesley where you will be a perfect fit,” Barbara Rafte expressed. Founder, John Wesley, said it simply and best: "Do all the good you can, in all the places you can, to all the people you can, for as long as you can."

We're waiting for you! Don't be long! Give Pastor Amy Yarnall a call at 302.678.9626, visit us at www.wesleyumc-dover.com , or find us on Facebook for more information.
