ANDREA WILLIAMS OF PERDUE FARMS JOINS PENINSULA REGIONAL HEALTH SYSTEM AND MEDICAL CENTER BOARDS

The Peninsula Regional Health System (PRHS) and Peninsula Regional Medical Center (PRMC) announce the addition of Andrea Williams as its newest member to the Board of Directors.  

Ms. Williams, who is the Senior Vice President, Controller for Perdue Farms LLC, is responsible for the management and development of associates located at the Corporate Office in Salisbury, MD and at multiple operational locations. Supporting the accounting, reporting and analytical needs of the Foods Business, her team spans the sales, marketing, logistics and costing needs of the vertically integrated operations, both domestically and internationally.   Her scope encompasses the accounting/auditing and business analytical support for the entire chicken, turkey, pork and beef foods portfolio.  

Ms. Williams, who holds a dual bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Business Administration, with concentrations both in marketing and accounting from Salisbury University and an MBA from the Perdue School of Business, is also a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant.

She has a long-standing relationship with the Maryland Food Bank, currently serving as Secretary on the Board of Directors. Ms. Williams also serves on Salisbury University’s Executive Advisory Leadership Board for the Perdue School of Business.   A foundational chair of the Perdue Organization of Women, she is also a member of the Network of Executive Women.

Ms. Williams replaces the retiring William McCain, who has been a member of the Peninsula Regional Health System and Medical Center Boards since 2005.  Mr. McCain has served the Board in a number of leadership roles including a term as Chairman.

Ms. Williams, who has been married to her husband, Steve, for 36 years and currently resides in Quantico, MD, will serve an initial three-year term on the Peninsula Regional Health System and Peninsula Regional Medical Center Boards.
