Recorder of Deeds Offers New Payment Plan for Property Records Subscribers

While this service is free to view, the ability to downloading unlimited copies costs subscribers $50 per 30 days of use. Users may also download copies for $2 per page without a subscription.
Effective March 10, subscribers will receive an email from AVENU instructing them how to use PayPal to access this convenient service.
“PayPal offers its own account as well as the use of Venmo, QR codes, and standard credit cards,” said Eugenia Thornton, the Kent County Recorder of Deeds.
. “Subscribers receive an email on March 6 instructing them how to make the switch,” she said. “Unused days will be credited upon switching payment methods.” Refunds are not possible.
Establishing an account with PayPal is not necessary, credit cards can still be processed through the PayPal portal. However, PayPal accounts are free, safe, and offer more options to professionals such as realtors, law offices, and mortgage companies.
“People are still welcome to come to the Deeds office, 555 Bay Road, Dover, and use our computers for free,” said Thornton. “Copies may then be purchased from us at $1.00 per page.”
This new payment option supports Thornton’s Vision of making property records transactions fast, safe, and more convenient for everyone.
