The House of Coffi hosted its grand opening ribbon cutting with the CDCC on April 23. Owner Kristin Stonesifer was joined by Mayor Robin Christiansen, family and friends to celebrate the business opening its doors at its 14 E Loockerman Plaza location.
Stonesifer’s inspiration to open House of Coffi comes from a passion for good coffee combined with a love of music. Her vision of a cozy coffeehouse with pieces from local artists adorning the walls and vinyl records playing in the background has come to life in Downtown Dover.
House of Coffi is unique, the owner says, because of the employees. “We have an amazing team of local teenagers who go above and beyond... Jordan Lanouette, Marina Spangler, Mickayla Pearson, Shannon Yarnall, Abbey Mullen, Maggie Talamantes, Bryn Coker, Peter Coker, Skyler Coker and Avery Young. We could not be successful without their dedication.”
In addition to coffee, the café also serves bagels for breakfast, three panini sandwiches on fresh bread, and an assortment of baked goods from La Baguette as well as Fifer Orchard’s renowned ‘Apple Cider Donuts.’ Customers can enjoy live music on the front patio, and the team is currently searching for local musicians to showcase their talent at open mic nights.
“We adore our customers and try our best to make their day just a little bit brighter,” Stonesifer said. “We would like to thank the City of Dover, the State of Delaware, Tina Bradbury and the Downtown Dover Partnership, and the neighbors who have supported us with flowers, advice, knowledge, and an overwhelming amount of love!"
